The Peak District
These are photos from a walk in the Peak District by Alstonefield that Ann and I took on 07 August 2005

There's really nothing to do in Derby, and there's little to redeem the city (the best I could come up with is that it's pretty much on the M1, so it's not too hard to get the hell out of!) but it is pretty close to the Peak District. It was about 20 minutes drive to Alstonefield, and the countryside was well worth the effort, though we were almost stopped by a whole load of cows lying across one of the paths. Apologies for the general boring nature and poor quality of the photos - boringness is down to me not being very good at composing landscapes, but the bad quality is down to the fact that I didn't bring my SLR and consequently only had my digital.
